Hi, I'm mathilde

I don’t know about you but I’m an avid reader, my Kindle comes with me everywhere because if I have a moment I’ll be nose deep in finishing my latest read or popping in my AirPods to listen on Audible if I’m out walking the dogs. I currently have a very wide (about 750 books) selection of books on my kindles from inspiring stories, to romance, and the latest business books to inspire.

What I love about reading is it takes you on a journey right from where you are, so even when we are locked down in our homes we can escape just for a moment with a great story or get inspired with the latest non fiction book.

But even more than a great story, books can help us to grow and change.

This is uber important with the subject of money and while I love some of the classic money books like The Big Leap and Think & Grow Rich my recommendations are books written by women for women.

Because books written by us, for us, by women who have done the work and made the changes and are showing us their version of success, well, that makes it so much easier for us to believe we can get there and implement what we’ve learned from reading these fabulous women.

Here is a quick run down of my the books currently getting a re-read on my Kindle

The 5 Best Money Books on My Kindle Right Now

SHE’S ON THE MONEY: TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR FINANCIAL FUTURE BY VICTORIA DEVINE

She’s on the Money podcast has over 2 million downloads! And the amazing host, and financial adviser for millennials, Victoria Devine, has taken her easy to vast money knowledge and has created an easy to download book to empower us to take charge of our financial future. It’s a practical book on learning to own our money story and a workbook style so, as we are reading, we are actually doing the work to take charge of our finances! This book isn’t a judgy guide telling us what we should have been doing all along but rather a non-judgmental guide to getting us to where we want to be.

WE SHOULD ALL BE MILLIONAIRES: A WOMAN’S GUIDE TO EARNING MORE, BUILDING WEALTH, AND GAINING ECONOMIC POWER BY RACHEL RODGERS

Only 10% of the world’s millionaires are women, and that fact got me right in the heart. This book has Rachel Rodgers no BS approach to building million dollar wealth. It has incredible advice and a step by step plan to building a million dollar business within 3 years. It has bold but implementable strategies to guide women to take control of their financial futures and take the economic power and equality that wealth provides. We all need to read this book, it’ll bring up shit but it’s an absolute must read.

UNF*CK YOUR FINANCES BY MELISSA BROWNE

I love how author Melissa Browne challenges us to change our thinking and our bank balances.

This book is full of easy to follow advice to set up your bank accounts, get investing and to throw away the word budget. This book is the perfect guide to take control of your financial organisation – without needing to get an accounting degree!

GET RICH, LUCKY BITCH!: A GUIDE FOR EXCEPTIONAL WOMEN TO CREATE OUTRAGEOUS SUCCESS BY DENISE DUFFIELD THOMAS

Only 10% of the world’s millionaires are women, and I’ve been a massive fan of Denise Duffield Thomas and this is the book that started it all.

This book guides you through upgrading your life in incremental upgrades to achieve the next level of wealth. Each time I feel like I’m hitting a wall or not moving forward I open up this book and go back to the beginning. It’s a book you’ll revisit for years to come.

MINDFUL MONEY BY CANNA CAMPBELL

I’ve followed Canna Campbell for a number of years and love the way she breaks down how to manage, love, and grow your finances. I first found her with the $1000 Project and still use this foundation to grow my investment portfolio. Mindful Money takes you back to your emotions surrounding money and how to mindfully build your wealth. Another great book to empower us to grow our wealth without needing an accounting degree.
