If you’ve ever caught yourself saying:
“I just need to finalise the funnel first…”
or
“I’ve got the plan – I just haven’t started…”
This is for you.
Because more strategy isn’t what most women in business need.
What they really need?
To stop overthinking and start executing.
When Strategy Becomes the Delay Tactic
I was on a call with a client – smart, capable, full of ideas – when she said:
“I think I just need more strategy.”
But the truth? She didn’t.
She already had strategy stacked in every direction:
- Launch plans
- Funnel ideas
- Content calendars
- Offers mapped for the next 6 months
What she didn’t have was movement.
She wasn’t stuck because she lacked vision. She was stuck because she was trying to perfect everything before taking the next step.
The Trap of “More Planning”
Strategy feels safe.
It feels like progress.
But often, it’s the place we hide when we’re scared to move.
Here’s what I see all the time:
“I want to get this launch really right.”
“I just need to finalise the tech.”
“I’ll do it after I finish mapping everything out.”
Meanwhile, a month (or three) passes, and the thing you wanted to do?
Still sitting in a Google Doc.
Strategy ≠ Action
Let me be clear: I love a smart, well-thought-out plan.
But strategy without execution is just a well-dressed form of avoidance.
If you know:
- What you want to create
- Who you want to serve
- And roughly how you want to do it
Then the next move isn’t another strategy session.
It’s action. Even if it’s imperfect.
What’s Actually Keeping You Stuck?
It’s not lack of knowledge.
It’s not laziness or fear of success.
It’s usually one of three things:
- You’re overwhelmed by all the ideas and don’t know where to start
- You’re comparing your business to people 10 years ahead
- You’re waiting for it to feel easier, cleaner, more “ready”
I see women looking at brands like Amy Porterfield and Marie Forleo and thinking, that’s the bar.
But those businesses are decades in the making.
That doesn’t mean your ideas are less worthy.
It just means it’s time to meet your business where it is – and start moving.
The Fix? Strip It Back to the Next Right Step
Ask yourself:
- What’s one thing I can do this week to bring momentum?
- What’s the real reason I haven’t done it yet?
- What would it feel like to stop planning and just press publish?
You don’t need a full funnel to start showing up.
You don’t need 8 modules recorded before you sell the offer.
You don’t need a website before you make your first sale.
