You ever feel like you’re doing all the things – yet still wondering if you’re doing the right things?
Same.
I’ve been there – staring at a list that’s 18 tabs long, inbox pinging, brain fried, and thinking: Why does this feel so hard when I’m working so much?
So, if your head’s spinning with “do this” and “post that” and “scale yesterday,” I want you to breathe with me for a second.
Here’s the thing: Success doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from knowing what deserves your energy.
And the truth? Most people aren’t lacking motivation – they’re just focused on the wrong stuff.
The Illusion of Busy
We’re so conditioned to equate being busy with being successful.
So we say yes to more meetings. We tweak the Canva graphics (again). We scroll for “inspo” and end up in a Pinterest hole wondering how she’s doing it all.
But behind all that?
We’re often spinning wheels instead of moving forward.
Here’s what I’ve learned: If everything matters, nothing does.
When we spread ourselves too thin – across platforms, offers, ideas, and expectations – we don’t make space for anything to truly take root.
So What Should You Focus On?
Well, that depends on your season.
Are you in a season of growth? Stabilising? Healing? Pivoting?
Because what you focus on should serve the season you’re in.
But to keep it practical, here are three things I come back to again and again (especially when I feel the chaos creeping in):
1. What Moves the Needle?
Ask yourself: If I only did ONE thing this week — what would actually make a difference?
Usually, it’s not the pretty stuff.
It’s sending the follow-up email.
It’s reaching out to a warm lead.
It’s finishing the sales page (even if the font isn’t quite perfect yet).
Focus on what gets you closer to your clients, closer to revenue, closer to freedom.
2. What Actually Feels Aligned?
You know that full-body “ugh” when you’re about to do something that feels off?
Yeah. Don’t ignore that.
Your intuition is data.
If something feels like you’re forcing it, it probably isn’t the right focus right now. That doesn’t mean you’ll never come back to it — it just means it’s not where your magic is right now.
3. What Can You Let Go Of (Without Guilt)?
This is the hard one, I know.
But not everything belongs on your list.
Sometimes focus means saying “not yet.” Or “not me.” Or “not at the cost of my sanity.”
Letting go is brave. And it creates space for the right yes.
A Little Story
Last month, my husband was away racing. I was solo parenting. Toby and I both got sick, and let’s just say… the fridge was a battlefield of half-eaten snacks.
My to-do list? It didn’t stand a chance.
But I sat down with my tea, opened my ClickUp board, and asked: What actually matters right now?
And do you know what? I did just those few things. The business kept moving. Clients were supported. Revenue came in.
Because I didn’t try to do everything. I focused on the right things – the things that moved the needle and protected my peace.
That’s what I want for you.
Focus Isn’t About Discipline — It’s About Clarity
You don’t need more motivation.
You need space. You need permission. You need a plan that actually makes sense for your life.
This is exactly what we do inside The Focus Method.
We strip away the noise.
We simplify your offers.
We build systems that work when you need a sick day or a slow morning.
And we get you back to the work that matters most.
So, Let Me Ask You This…
What are you focusing on this week?
Is it a true priority… or just noise?
Here’s your invitation to pause, reassess, and realign.
Because focus isn’t about working harder – it’s about choosing better.
And I’d love to help you build a business that works beautifully, simply, and powerfully for you.
One space is open now inside The Focus Method — if that feels like the right next step, you can book a call with me.
