How to Get Less Resistance and More Ease in Your Life and Business

Ever feel like you’re pushing a boulder uphill? Like no matter how much you love what you do, there’s always friction—more to figure out, more to fix, more to force? For a long time, I believed that resistance meant I wasn’t working hard enough. That if I could just get more done, be more efficient, or finally master the perfect to-do list, things would start to feel easier.

But here’s what I’ve learned: ease doesn’t come from hustling harder. It comes from learning to work with yourself instead of against yourself.

We’re taught that success comes from grinding, pushing, showing up more and doing more. But real, sustainable success—the kind that feels good and not just looks good on the outside—comes from understanding how you operate best. It’s not about someone else’s perfect plan, it’s about creating one that fits your rhythms, your values, and your life.

Resistance shows up when we’re trying to force a way of working or living that doesn’t align. Maybe you’re procrastinating on the same tasks over and over, or you find yourself second-guessing decisions that once felt clear. Maybe you’re just tired—of all the admin, of the constant juggling, of the sense that business is meant to feel this hard.

It doesn’t have to.

One of the biggest shifts for me came when I stopped trying to follow what worked for everyone else and started getting clear on what actually works for me. I realised that not everyone is built to work the same way, and that’s more than okay—it’s powerful. Some of us thrive on detailed planning and routines. Others need flexibility and space to follow bursts of creative energy. Some make decisions on gut instinct. Others need time to process and feel it out.

When I started designing my business to match the way I operate—rather than forcing myself into someone else’s blueprint—everything got lighter. That doesn’t mean it all got magically easy, but it stopped feeling like a constant uphill battle.

This isn’t just mindset work (though that’s part of it). It’s also about the systems and structures that support the way we want to live. Resistance often builds when we’re doing too much, saying yes too often, or spending all our energy on tasks that someone else could do—or tech could automate.

When we create systems that support our natural way of working, we free up space to focus on the parts of business and life that truly matter. Things like automating repetitive admin, building simple workflows, and reducing decision fatigue with clear plans—those changes don’t just save time. They create ease.

I’ve worked with clients who have completely transformed how they show up simply by making space for what works—and letting go of what doesn’t. And when that shift happens? The difference is more than strategic. It’s deeply personal. You’re no longer building a business that demands more and more from you—you’re building one that gives back.

If you’re feeling stuck right now, it might be time to pause and ask yourself: where am I working against myself? Where am I forcing something that doesn’t fit? And what could happen if I gave myself permission to do things differently?

Here’s what I know: business doesn’t have to feel like resistance.

Yes, it takes effort.
Yes, there are seasons of stretch.

But it should also feel aligned. Expansive. Supportive.

So if you’re ready to stop pushing through and start moving with more clarity, more calm, and a whole lot more ease, start here: with what already feels good. Start small. Let it be simple. And most importantly, let it be yours.

Meet Lauren

I help women step into their CEO era with systems, structure, and strategy that actually work.

I’ve been in business for over 20 years, which means I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the downright exhausting side of entrepreneurship. At 24, I built a half-million-dollar company that looked “successful” on the outside but left me burnt out and questioning everything.

Now? I’ve made it my mission to help women avoid that trap - and instead build businesses that are profitable, sustainable, and give them more freedom, not less.

I’m also a mum (after four rounds of IVF and one very determined little boy), a podcaster, and someone who believes Sundays should be for family, not for catching up on work.

Around here, you’ll find a mix of strategy, systems, AI magic, and honesty - because scaling doesn’t have to feel so damn heavy.

If you’re ready to stop “doing it all” and start running your business like the CEO you were meant to be, you’re in the right place.

Making business growth easier (and way more fun) with freedom-first strategy, smart systems, and real talk - no fluff.
