🤔🧐 As we start to near the end of the first quarter, I'm reflecting on what this year will bring in business. 🤔 Time is precious and seems even more limited these days, with the "Sunday till TJ starts daycare" schedule. 🤔 So, what will 2023 bring? I'm hoping for more grace and to embrace this quiet season, full of lots of squeals! 🤗 I'm also reminding myself that a time for busy will come again, and I'm so grateful for the life I've created. 🙏

🤰🏽 I never imagined that postpartum anxiety would be part of my journey into motherhood. After all the waiting and trying, I was only expecting to feel joy once the baby arrived, so it was a total shock when the anxiety started to creep in. I couldn't sleep unless everything was perfect and I was so afraid that if TJ woke up and needed something, I had failed as a mother. Eventually, I realized that it was okay to take time for myself and to trust that I was doing a great job. Now, I may still have a deep attachment to the baby monitor, but things are going much better these days.

It's been 8 unforgettable months since my little man came into our lives and filled our hearts with joy! 🥰 Time flies when you're having fun (and sleep deprived) , and I'm slowly emerging from the newborn fog to think about the future. 🤔 It's hard to believe that we were in a newborn bubble yesterday and now, we're ready to take on the world. The art of balancing motherhood and business is hard!

Today I visited a childcare centre and the mixed emotions of putting Toby in care a couple of days a week vs trying to balance is real. I always hoped that I would be able to run my business and be a stay-at-home mum, just working between naps.

And I can, it is how I built my business.

But as I'm writing this post I can hear TJ in the other room with my husband getting grizzly because it's almost nap time. I just want to go and cuddle him and I'm not concentrating very well on the work I'm trying to get done. So today I decided that when Toby is 1 which isn't for another 5ish months that he'll have a couple of days in daycare so that I can get the work done I need to and when he is home I can enjoy being his mum.

But the guilt already is real.
