I Quit

I quit people pleasing, I quit parts of my business that no longer serve me, I’ve quit being the nice girl, I’ve quit discounting my prices, I’ve quit keeping IVF a secret, and I’ve quit agreeing to live my life the way anyone else thinks I should.

I quit, and I’ve never been happier.

Instead, I’m:

  • Finding a voice and a vision with clarity about who I am, what I stand for, and how I’ll show up in relationships
  • Building a business and brand that supports the life I want to live, one with more time with people I love, doing things I love, with time in the garden, time to rest and heal, and time to dream up new dreams
  • Creating a community and space where women have independent wealth so they have choice and I’m doing it in a way that is real, unfiltered, honest, and celebratory

Ultimately, this space exists to allow women to have choice.

Where is all started

I’m sitting in my new client’s study, I’m there to look through her MYOB file. She just can’t work out where her money’s gone. Everything was reconciled but she doesn’t understand why she’s battling to pay the bills. And yet, she’s paying all this tax.

I took one look at her accounts and realised money was being taken as Drawings. And it obviously wasn’t by her.

I awkwardly turned to her and suggested the problem might be the amount of money her and her husband were drawing from the business. Her eyes were round as she responded, “we barely take anything”.

She had always given her husband the power to look after the money in their business and their house, putting herself in this place where she wasn’t educated enough to figure out what was happening – in her own books, under her own nose. By her own husband.

It was in that moment, I realised I needed to be part of the movement to educate all women to be empowered in their own business. Not to do everything ourselves, but to know enough about how our business runs to be in the driver’s seat. So I never had to watch another client experience the realisation they’d lost control of their own financial freedom.

The LK Pledge

To be an accessible space to educate, inspire and help all people that identify as women to create independent wealth – so they can have choice. Choice to build their life how they choose with health, wealth, and happiness.

To do this, I’ll provide education and resources that enable you, my community, to start today. So you can stop waiting for your next paycheck and start choosing the life you want.

The Boss

MUMMA, WIFE, EDUCATOR, BLOGGER, DECAF COFFEE LOVER

Lauren June is a reformed business hustler and recovering perfectionist, sushi aficionado and faux farmer, decaf coffee lover, Endo thriver, hope-holder, Educator, home reno buff who refuses to do business not in jeans and makes a mean “picky plate” while walking the fine line between hard-ass and soft-touch – (un)gracefully.

She used to call herself a business strategist but has zero interest in buying into the game where women are made to feel less than in order to sell business coaching. Instead, she’s aiming to live a purposeful life where women can learn to be independently wealthy and have choices, and teach that by example.
